Oren and I had a conversation and he fixed the condensation pump to my satisfaction. We also settled on the rebates.

Update **11/17/21I’m rather shocked. The “installers”’at ACR left a finished BEER CAN BEHIND! Finished or unopened, who brings alcohol for an HVAC installation! BEYOND Unprofessional and illegal.Update 10/03/21. Oren your response doesn’t hold up. You are the contractor, you know what has to be done. Why would you even begin work without a permit? Don’t blame my elderly mother; she wouldn’t even know how to tell you not to pull a permit 😂.And in response to the parts being under warranty; Simon specifically said the ducts were not, and that it would be another $2000-$3000 to replace them. He said he’d offer us a deal by just repairing the broken ducts for $450. Why would he charge for a warrantied part?ACR installed a brand new central HVAC system in September 2020. As of September 2021 the system is completely malfunctioning and we were told we were to blame for not changing the filter frequently enough. Malarky. 🤣 Not changing a filter soon enough is not the reason why an entire central A/C thermostat system is failing to work. The system is all but a year old.$13,625 was paid in full for this project that has brought nothing but problems from, unfortunately, four days after installation. ACR has had to come back to my home multiple times for various reasons; leaving a gaping hole upon installation of the thermostat, patching it up hastily (see photos please), loud rattling out of the vents, a non-functioning vent in one room, to now a complete malfunction of the entire system. ACR installed a brand new system for the entire second story. Not one of the four bedrooms, two bathrooms or hallway blow cold air or any air at all.We were told to pay $125 to have them “diagnosis” the issue then charged $450 to fix the issue that “we caused”. We were told that since three weeks had passed since the one-year labor warranty had expired, we had to pay the fees, when on the phone, Oren said “not to worry about it.”Then Simon at ACR proceeded to blame us, and said the ducts were broken and collapsed from the filter not being able to breathe.Three HVAC companies have since told me that a filter not being changed frequently enough has nothing to do with a non-functioning system and that something went wrong during installation. The crumpled ducts. Uneven air flow at different temperatures have occurred since the beginning of installation. Now the system doesn’t work at all. Something went wrong during install.I did not know that duct work wasn’t supposed to look so crumpled until another company asked me why the ducts look as though they have been stepped on. I don’t feel safe having this type of faulty ductwork installed in my home. What else is wrong with the project ACR installed?ACR has never owned up to any of their errors, either blaming the placement of the sun 🌞, going so far as to blame the way our house was built, and going so far as to accuse us of touching the levers of the vent (something that didn’t occur- but aren’t levers supposed to touched for adjusting anyway?)Oren, the owner of ACR even tried to charge $125 for coming out to look at another issue when we were well within the labor warranty three months ago. This is when he proceeded to blame the placement of the sun, then the house, for the reason the vent was blowing room temperature, warm air instead of cool air. The issue was never resolved that day and we continued to live with room temperature air blowing from the room. He then had the audacity to demand $125 to tell us this.They won’t fix unless they are paid more money!ACR did not pull a permit for project as they are legally supposed to so there is no way to know if the system was built safely.ACR needs to offer to fix the broken HVAC they installed without blaming the customer and take full responsibility. They are afraid of a failed inspection and do not want to pay the required permit fees. Or maybe their installers are not licensed.The lack of professionalism by ACR is something that a paying customer should never have to endure. Wasted time, money, and energy.
